Teacher in the House: A True Tale of Urban Survival

Susan Jeremy who brought her critically acclaimed show "P.S. 69" to Piccolo Fringe in the past is back with a exciting new show! Teacher in the House focuses on a teacher who belongs to a small unit of educators who teach students in their NYC homes. The story unfolds like a television crime series, with true accounts of a touching, comical, urban tales of survival. From teaching a seventh grade health class to overcoming a cancer diagnosis, the protagonist is drawn to and inspired by teaching children with challenging and life threatening illnesses, like Ryan, a 7 year old with severe ADD or Rebecca, who’s waiting for a new kidney, and Angela, a paralyzed teen with a huge smile, Jeremy’s characters are keenly observed and physically portrayed with warmth, candor, and humor.
