SATURDAY NIGHT COMEDY (STAND UP) @ Theatre 99 (280 Meeting Street)

SAT, JULY 24 at 10pm
Theatre 99 is thrilled to present a special one night only stand up comedy event featuring Charleston, New York and Savannah’s finest. And all 3 of them are Theatre 99 company members. Shrug off those pandemic blues and let these three comics entertain you with their best 20 minute sets.

Now one of New York’s hottest comics on the scene, Lauren Hope Krass got her start in comedy right here in Charleston, SC. She’s the recent winner of the She Devil Comedy Festival in NYC and has been featured in Time Out NY, The New York Times and Backstage. She tours nationwide for colleges, clubs and fundraisers but is the most excited to entertain you on her hometown stage!

Local favorite and Theatre 99 Member, Jason Groce has been entertaining you fine folks for years! This man is the comedy jack of all trades. He regularly brings the laughs with either his improv, stand up, sketch or the occasional one man show. An eclectic mix of dry wit, observational humor and fun surprises, Jason’s stand up is a special treat not to be missed!

Deshawn Mason is a standup comedian and actor now based in Savannah, GA. He has performed all over the Southeast including at Theatre 99 and the Savannah Comedy Festival. Mason won 3rd place at the Charleston Comedy Festival Stand Up Competition in 2015 and is now a cast member of the Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre! Mason and fellow comedian Jon Antoine began their sketch comedy duo Vernon Moses in 2016 and they continue to write and perform their sketches for the greater Charleston and Savannah area.
