Neil is a homegrown Charleston Native. Like most Charleston Natives, he was born elsewhere but claims Charleston as his home. Getting the majority of his acting experience from the School of Cool, Neil received his first role in the Harbor View Elementary 5th grade production of Oliver Twist. Afterward, he took a brief acting hiatus of 20 years before taking Improv classes at Theatre 99. Since then, he has fallen in love with the art; the fun and spontaneity, but especially the community.
He is currently performing with such acts as Sloppy Socks, Cinema Enema, Brenda’s Cousin on Ice, and Always Humid in Charleston. In addition to Improv, Neil performs and writes sketch comedy with the groups Sketchy Socks (a subsidiary of Sloppy Socks Improv) and The Jonathan Taylor Promise.
