Special Class with Greg Tavares: Game of The Scene (SOLD OUT)

All Classes are held at Theatre 99 (280 Meeting Street)

  • Starts Tuesday, September 16
  • 4 Class Meetings (2 hours each)
  • Class size: 12
  • Cost is $139 (MUST PAY IN ADVANCE TO HOLD A SPOT)
  • MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO TAKE THIS CLASS.
  • Includes 1 FREE ticket to EVERY Wednesday (Laughway to the Weekend) and Thursday (Laugh for a Lincoln or Student Jam) during the seven weeks.
  • Must have completed Level 4 or higher in the Theatre 99 training program.
This 4 week class will dive into the concept of “Game of The Scene.” You hear it all the time, but what the hell is the game of the scene? 
We will break the “game” down and do exercise to learn how to recognize game and play “game moves” in a scene.

All classes are held in person at Theatre 99 (280 Meeting Street)

Cancellation / Refund Policy: There are no refunds if you cancel less than 7 days before the start date. If you have to cancel you must notify Theatre 99 via email no less than 7 days before the date of the class in order to get refunded. All refunds include a $8 service charge. To register for any class at Theatre 99 you must pay in full to hold a spot.

Instructor: Greg Tavares

Greg lives and works in Charleston, SC, where he is the co-artistic director at Theatre 99. He’s spent his life doing improv comedy and has written two books about improv. Improv for Everyone is designed to help anyone who wants to learn how to improvise, and Improv for Couples (Co-authored with Amber Nash) helps couples learn how to play improv games at home.
