This 7-week class introduces the Theatre 99 method of relationship based scene work. You hear it during every class: “Improv scenes are about the relationship.” But what is a relationship? This class breaks the relationship between characters into “components” (point of view, physicality & history). Exercises taught during the class help students make offers based on “relationship components.” The class show for level 3 will be 100% scenes, no improv games. MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO TAKE THIS CLASS.

Ali’s life changed when she started taking Improv classes at Theatre 99. She joined the company in 2010 and can’t remember life before the stage. You can see Ali in shows like Improv Riot, Smackdown, The Funny Bucket, Not Your Mama and Daddy, Spoons and Organized Chaos.

Ali is a graduate of the Theatre 99 training program and has studied at The Annoyance in Chicago. She has a background in education and is proud to be an instructor at Theatre 99.

Greg started The Have Nots! with Brandy and some other friends in 1995.  He co-founded Theatre 99 with Brandy and Timmy in 2000 and has been improvising since 1985.  He wrote the curriculum taught in Theatre 99’s training program and gets as much out of teaching as he does from being on stage.  He has a BFA in acting from USC and an MFA in directing from the Univ. of Nebraska, but still has nightmares that he never finished high school.  When he is not acting or directing, he is hanging out with his best friend and wife, Sara.

Greg has written two books about improv, Improv for Everyone and Improv for Couples. Both are available on Amazon.
