GIRL'S GIRL COMEDY HOUR @ Theatre 99 (280 Meeting Street)

Welcome to Girl’s Girl Comedy Hour! A fashion inspired comedy show brought to you by your favorite best friends on the internet, Jessie Jolles and Lauren Hope Krass. You are invited to come as your most fabulous self. There’s no such thing as “too much” at Girl Girl’s Comedy Hour. This show will include stand up, story-telling, crowd interaction, improv and more! Come by yourself or with a friend – you’re guaranteed to not be alone!

About Jessie:

Jessie Jolles is a comedian, writer, director, actress, podcaster, and creator living in NYC.

She was chosen as 1 of 100 female creators from around the world for YouTube’s “Women in Comedy” Program. She was a performer for over three years at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade and as a standup she has headlined at Caroline’s on Broadway and opened for comedian Hannah Berner on tour. Jessie is known on social media as your eccentric friend and is probably shopping at a thrift store.

About Lauren:

Lauren got her start in comedy right here at Theatre 99 in 2012! As a company member, she performed both improv and stand up shows right on this stage and even placed in a couple comedy competitions. In 2014, Lauren scooted off to NYC to follow her dreams of being a comedian full time.

Lauren has since headlined for Corporations (SAP Americas), Colleges (Princeton) Clubs (Goonies, MD) and Cruise Lines (Virgin) all over the world.  In NYC, you can catch her at New York Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, Rodney’s, and QED among many others. Many know Lauren from her time at Betches Media where she went super viral with her plus size fashion comedy sketches and was the host of Good Bodies Podcast. Currently she’s loving hosting her own podcast Belly Laughs and making lots of fun fashion and friendship content with her comedy partner, Jessie Jolles.

Lauren’s material ranges from the ridiculous to the brutally honest. What’s especially unique is her ability to put a body positive & fat liberation spin on jokes while remaining cuttingly hilarious for any audience.

Whether you’re in the audience of a stand up show, watching a viral video on socials or listening to a podcast, it feels like hanging out with a close friend.

Show is appropriate for 15 years and older. It is not “family friendly.”
